Plan of action.

With deadlines drawing closer and closer every hour and being unable to have the full use of one wrist photography is getting pretty hard to keep up with! Even the simplest of tasks like typing on a keyboard hurt :(

Anywayyy, my plan of action for the next few days is to try and struggle through holding a camera with the one hand and do some photoshoots for our most recent brief given to us by the fabulous Sam Brown, End. clothing's photographer.

Keep checking up as I'll be posting updates and sneak peaks of the images being created ... that is if i don't drown in the amount of work I have left to do! I entirely blame my ability to procrastinate to a high degree.

Catch you all on the flip side,
H.

WONDERLAND. magazine shoot

Model - Ashleigh Dalziel
Make Up - myself
Photography - myself (hayleynessyphotography)
Editing - myself

I have done another beautiful shoot with the lovely model, Ashleigh to the theme of Wonderland. magazine. I wanted to try something new with some light leaks, and i'm not too used to fashion editorial photography (something I wish to explore more).
I would really love any feedback you may have for my images. I'm also constantly looking for new models/ ideas if any of you lovely viewers are interested?

Merry Christmas Everyone

Today is a day filled full of festivities, eating and taking photos.... but after this day of rest it's back to work work work - lots of uni work to be done, including essay writing and brushing up on my blog (to which i've been lacking - soz) but i'm determined to get this sorted from now on :)

Just to keep the festive spirit up, here's a picture of my mam and I in our fancy christmas gear ;)

Wifi Crisis

So after weeks of living at the flat and suffering the student problem of lack of 'interweb', I haven't been able to post on this blog in about a week! Soz!

Don't worry, i'll sort that out, i've recently discovered that the lovely lady down stairs from us has offered to share her password - what a babe - so I should be able to now post at the very minimum, weekly.

So where to start with this next post? Well ... we've been given our last project of the 2013 and we're all working furiously to get it all complete for the 16th, but I have to admit,  I'm pretty stumped on my next wonderful idea *hint-help-hint* I'm doing a double page spread on "Great British Food" now don't get me wrong, there's some ideas floating about my head, but I really want to sum up what is Great British food in one awesome picture - but how can I tell how other people see this country when I am apart of it - I need something that screams Britain - anyone out there got any ideas?????

The Red Queen

Hair Styling, crown, make up and photography - Myself
Model - Ashleigh Dalziel

This photoshoot's brief was based upon 'self made hats'. We each had to create a hat by ourselves (whether it be a plastic bag or something that took about a day to make slaving over the sewing machine) and present it on a model in a theme of our own. I chose the theme of 'Alice in Wonderland', having my hat representing the 'Red Queen'. The angle I was going for was a fierce look upon the models face with a slight fragile body language to portray the characters hidden vulnerability. The shadows seen were created in capture and enhanced with the use of desaturation on photoshop. I made the image with a lot of empty background, not only to give the image breathing space, but to give the impression the Red Queen (who is seen to be an evil character) is coming out of the darkness.
